Want to watch IPTV on your big screen? With IBO Player from the App Store, you can add the Xtream Codes details from your provider and watch live TV, movies and series on your Apple TV.
This IPTV Xtream Code Apple TV guide shows you step by step how to install IBO Player, activate your device, add your login details and fix the most common connection problems.
Please note: IPTVCodeXtream does not sell subscriptions, provide logins or host any streams. Only use services that are authorized to distribute the channels they offer. See our Disclaimer for details.
An IPTV Xtream Code is a set of login details supplied by your IPTV service provider. A compatible player uses these details to connect to the provider’s server through the Xtream Codes API and load your channels, on-demand content and programme guide.
Your Xtream Codes login usually includes three details:
http:// or https:// and often followed by a port number, for example http://example.com:8080.To get started, you need a valid subscription or an authorized trial and a player app such as IBO Player on Apple TV. If you do not have login details yet, read our guide on how to get a free IPTV Xtream Code through a legitimate trial.
IBO Player works differently from many IPTV apps. You do not type your login with the Siri Remote. Instead, the app shows two device details on your TV, and you use them on the IBO Player website to add your playlist from your phone or computer. Follow these steps to complete your IPTV Xtream Code Apple TV setup in a few minutes. Menu names can differ slightly between app versions.
On your Apple TV, open the App Store, select Search and look for IBO Player. You can also check the IBO Player listing on the Apple App Store. IBO Player on Apple TV is free to download and requires tvOS 16.6 or later. Availability can vary by country.
Open IBO Player. The start screen shows your Device ID, which looks like a MAC address, and your Device Key. Write both down or take a photo of the screen with your phone, and keep the app open on this screen.
On your phone or a computer, open a browser and go to the website address shown in the app. Enter your Device ID and Device Key exactly as displayed, then log in. Only use the address shown in the app, and never enter your details on look-alike sites.
On the website, choose Add playlist and fill in the details from your provider:
Check every field for typing mistakes and extra spaces, then save the playlist.
Go back to IBO Player on Apple TV and restart the app, or use its reload or login option. The app downloads your playlist, which can take a few minutes the first time. Use the Siri Remote to move between sections. Depending on your subscription, you will see:
Your IPTV Xtream Code Apple TV setup is now complete.
IBO Player includes a 7-day free trial with all features. After the trial, you pay a one-time activation fee to keep using IBO Player on Apple TV. You can pay through the IBO Player website or the in-app purchase. Check the current price on the App Store listing before you pay.
Activation is linked to the Device ID shown in the app, so each device you use may need its own activation. The activation fee is for the player only. IBO Player includes no channels, so you still need a separate subscription or authorized trial from an IPTV provider.
If you already watch IPTV on your iPhone, you can also send the picture to your Apple TV with AirPlay, as long as your iPhone player supports it. Start playing a channel, tap the AirPlay icon and choose your Apple TV. Your iPhone and Apple TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Our iPhone guide shows you how to set up your Xtream Codes login on iPhone.
AirPlay works well for occasional viewing, but a player installed on the Apple TV itself usually gives smoother playback and lets you use the Siri Remote. If you prefer another tvOS player, choose one from the App Store that offers an Xtream Codes login, and avoid apps that come with built-in channels or promise free access to paid content.
Your Xtream Codes login details always come from your IPTV service provider. Installing IBO Player or another player does not create them, because these apps are players only and include no channels.
After you buy a subscription or receive an authorized trial, look for your details in the welcome email, your customer account or messages from your provider. Keep your username, password and server URL private, and never share them publicly.

If your IPTV Xtream Code Apple TV setup does not work, try these solutions.
Restart IBO Player. Then check that you logged in to the website with the exact Device ID and Device Key shown on your TV, and that you saved the playlist.
Copy the complete server address from your provider, including http:// or https:// and the port number if one was supplied. Type your username and password again and watch for extra spaces and upper or lower case letters.
Check that your subscription is still active. Restart your router and your Apple TV, and use a wired Ethernet connection if your Apple TV model has an Ethernet port. Pause downloads on other devices that use a lot of bandwidth.
When the 7-day trial expires, IBO Player on Apple TV asks you to activate it. Pay the one-time activation fee through the IBO Player website or the in-app purchase to continue.
Check that your Apple TV runs tvOS 16.6 or later and that IBO Player on Apple TV is up to date in the App Store. If the problem continues, delete and reinstall the app, then check whether your device details have changed.
IBO Player is also available for iPhone, iPad and Mac through the App Store. Each device shows its own device details, so you add your playlist for each device on the IBO Player website. Most subscriptions allow a limited number of simultaneous connections, so check your plan before you sign in on several devices.
